Wordpress have confirmed a second release candidate (RC) for Wordpress 4.8 which looks to follow on from the first release candidate  (WordPress 4.8 Release Candidate), as the last RC was expected that it could be the final release prior to Wordpress 4.8 going gold and it wasn't we will reserve speculation this time. As with anything in open-source things and plans can change.If you want to give this release a test (on a none production environment download the Wordpress Beta Tester plugin or download the RC release and get it installed on a testing environment and report any issues found.

Yootheme have released their template for the month of June in the form of Juno, the theme according to the release announcement makes solid use of the new Yootheme Pro 1.7 release for which details have been promised to be released next week in a blog post. The theme itself is very very clean and will appeal to those looking to sell or display exclusive type products.

Popular PHP framework Laravel has confirmed the release of version 5.4.24 which based on the official article "adds support for magic controller methods, a Request::routeIs() method and more." Mich more is probably understatement of the year as the changelog is quite huge.

Wordpress is aiming for an official release by Thursday, June 8th so are hoping everyone that can to either download the Wordpress Beta Tester plugin or download the RC release and get it installed on a testing environment and report any issues found.

The second beta for the Wordpress 4.8 release has dropped and contains fixes for issues that were found in the Beta 1 release. Wordpress 4.8 is aiming to bring new improvements to Wordpress including a new version of TinyMCE, better dashboard widgets in particular to the news widget and lastly several new media related widgets.

YOOtheme has released there May theme which follows up on the release of YOOtheme Pro 1.6 and as such makes heavy use of it within the theme. Vibe is smart clean and interesting theme offering subtle animations as well as some the new features mentioned in the YOOtheme Pro 1.6 release such as countdowns and bottom shadows.
