Joomla! 3.8.2 has been released and this time around we are facing a security/bugfix release although most the issues are at highest rated medium however as always we highly advise you update your site as soon as possible. Thankfully Joomla! these days is fairly easy to update - perform a backup, run the automated updated, sit back and wait for it to finish what it needs to finish.

The security fixes include addressing an issue with LDAP another with two-factor authentication being able to be bypassed and lastly an issue in within the core related to information disclosure. The bug fixing side of things related to subcategories respecting permissions, tags being deleted by batch actions and reordering via drag and a few other items. The official announcement from the Joomla! team is posted below so keep on reading for more information.

Joomlashack have confirmed the release of Wylia 2 a templated based on the previous Wylia template although as specified in the releases notes a separate template entirely ergo a new release based on the previous one. The Joomla Marketing team have put up a post looking for a new Lead Designer, it's not the first time Joomla! has looked for a creative soul when not so long ago the Joomla! shop was looking for 'creative minds' (Creative minds wanted). It's a great opportunity for any designer to get their work shown to a global audience but before jumping in a whole heap of requirements are to be met...

The Joomla marketing folks have been very busy recently as they have a new survey out which asks 'How do you #joomla" The goal according to the blog post on the Joomla! community site is aimed at providing some hard data on particular points within Joomla! from a product perspective as well as marketing.

So as I often today on the weekend I was playing catch up with writing news articles and had just finished writing JCE 2.6.14 Released and they go and release version 2.6.15 - drat.
